About PasteReader

The "Why" Behind the Tool

In an era of information overload, we are constantly reading. But the web has become cluttered. Between intrusive ads, chaotic layouts, and "sticky" headers on sites like V2EX or Reddit, the actual content often gets lost.

I found myself doing the same thing every day: Select All, Copy, and Paste into a note-taker just to read a 2,000-word article in peace.

I decided to build a tool that makes this process "Zen." PasteReader is built on a simple philosophy: You discover the content; I provide the sanctuary.

👨‍💻 Meet the Developer: Zi Xuan

I am a Senior Software Engineer with 7 years of experience. After nearly a decade in the corporate tech world, I decided to step away from the cubicle to pursue something more fundamental—music and independent development.

Today, I live and work in beautiful Penang, Malaysia. You might see me navigating the streets on my car delivering for Lalamove—a way for me to stay grounded and find inspiration—while late at night, I sit down to polish this reader or record my debut music album.

Why Trust PasteReader?

Privacy-First: As a veteran dev, I respect your data. Your pasted content stays in your local browser (LocalStorage) by default. No tracking, no prying eyes.
Visual Zen: No complex configurations. No distracting pop-ups. Just pure typography and you.
Built for Speed: Powered by Cloudflare's edge network, I aim for millisecond response times and an aesthetic that stays out of your way.

☕ Support the Journey

PasteReader is a 100% independent project. There is no VC funding and no big team—just one developer's passion for building "honest" tools.

If this tool has saved you time or if you simply want to support a developer chasing a dream in music and tech, consider buying me a coffee. Every bit of support fuels the code and the music.
